Model calculation. Excludes spread, overnight funding and other charges.
Market exposure is the total value of the position — your deposited capital multiplied by the leverage ratio. Profit and loss are calculated from this figure, not from what you put in.
Profit or loss is the percentage market move applied to the full exposure. This is why at 1:10 leverage a one percent move changes your capital by ten percent.
Remaining capital shows what would be left in the account. Once it reaches zero, the position is liquidated.
Real trading includes the spread on opening, any overnight funding and currency conversion. The actual outcome will always be somewhat worse than the model.
The highest leverage permitted for retail clients on major currency pairs. Under four percent of movement erases the entire capital.
The limit for CFDs on shares. Lower leverage means more room for error, but also smaller exposure.
Without leverage you lose exactly the percentage the market moves. Compare that against the scenarios above.
Move the market slider into positive values and you will see leverage multiplies gains too. That symmetry is why the product is attractive — and why most retail accounts end up in loss.
